Knockout-stage conduct rules

The stakes are higher, but NACC is still about fun and healthy competition. Play hard, respect the opposition, and keep every game enjoyable.

1 · UmpiringCaptains will not umpire their own games. Each captain may also nominate two players from the opposing team who will not umpire that game. With limited neutral-umpire availability, this is the fairest practical solution.
2 · Captains run the gameOnly the captains run their teams and make on-field decisions. Captains may take advice from anyone, but no other player should direct or instruct teammates during the game.
3 · No aggressive behaviorAggressive or threatening behavior toward another player will not be tolerated. Personal grudges stay outside the ground. One warning from an admin; any repeat aggression means removal from the game and a five-game suspension.
4 · Zero sledging or deliberate distractionNo sledging, personal comments, intimidation, or deliberate attempts to distract a batsman or another player. One warning; a repeat offense means removal from the game and a five-game suspension.
5 · Do not distract a fielder taking a catchWhen a fielder is attempting a catch, opposition players must not shout, scream, or deliberately try to distract the fielder. One warning; a repeat offense means removal from the game and a five-game suspension.

Disagreeing with an umpire is still part of cricket. Questioning, discussing, and debating a decision is allowed. Umpires are human and mistakes happen — just do not let a disagreement cross into aggression, sledging, intimidation, or personal behavior.

Play hard. Compete hard. Have fun. Keep it respectful — that is what NACC is about.

Tournament rules

The fine print that matters

CaptainsThe tournament is built around its captains. If a scheduled captain can't attend, the game is forfeited — admins assign a wild-card captain who can earn the win for the team but no extra credits. No replacement captains, no exceptions.
BowlersWild-card bowler rule: captains first pick 6 regular bowlers from the pool of 12; those six bowl 3 overs each, and the final 2 overs go to wild-card bowlers from the rest of the team — more chances for emerging bowlers.
TiesNo super over. A tied game splits the points.
RainIf rain stops play, the CricClubs at-par score decides — but only if the first innings finished and the chase reached 10 overs. Otherwise: no-result in the league (points shared); knockout and playoff games get rescheduled. Washed out before a ball? Rescheduled.
WithdrawingA captain who withdraws before completing their scheduled games forfeits all points earned from tournament wins.
